The Eternal And The Council
General overview
The Kamien system can be defined as a gerontocratic confederacy. A gerontocracy is a form of oligarchical rule in which an entity is ruled by leaders who are significantly older than most of the adult population.
This form of rule was instated in 1985. As Kamien Cryogenic Technology (KCT) became generally accepted by the populace, the Kamien democratic confederacy gradually shifted towards gerontocracy. Because our population now had no fear of death by natural causes anymore, a lot of conflicts were avoided: no one felt the risk was worth the trouble. The populace agreed that the democratic system slowed down change and the enhancement of life. Every region voted for their ten Elders to represent them. These Elders each elected one Ancient and the four elected Ancients chose the Eternal. These elected officials have been ruling Kamien ever since and have been the source of prosperity in our country.

Vision
The Council
The Kamen Elders are Vaamblem Tahl, Nurzem Priarrel, Grilaal Rugnax, Jabin Pegrem, Gromblug Betnin, Borar Rirrel, Sinial Nobiax, Yaga Kun, Nebi Nual and Vrejud Pred. Their Ancient is Jidri Porus: the scientist responsible for the invention of KCT, alongside Hubaal Teinad. She is known for her sober view on life.
The Guri Elders are Hedrog Vihl, Grojul Daurs, Raamog Kulon, Yidaag Primors, Tumaan Dus, Daarvel Teg, Jaamim Divum, Riaron Lod, Jarjem Pagnos and Teja Rox. Their Ancient is Dodria Ril. Dodria Ril made name for herself as an agricultural engineer and innovator.
The Pietra Elders are Tonaar Graix, Dabun Miareem, Julul Bunahn, Jaadun Mitnol, Denam Biveen, Grube Pobax, Tegor Pigrig, Dedug Vedar, Taaben Tellos and Jorzil Teahl. Their Ancient is Kadrun Verux. Next to his position as Ancient, Verux is a well-known actor, talk show host, musician, composer, painter, sculptor and herbalist.
The Islands of Puu Elders are Sezos, Neddi, Varulit, Hunnut, Bullal, Rennut, Noruval, Lozza, Nurivel and Vorreth. Their Ancient is Nomus. Nomus chooses to live in seclusion, his current whereabouts are unknown.
The Eternal
The elected Eternal ruling Kamien with justice and humility is Hubaal Teinad. Teinad is the head-scientist who created KCT. He influenced Kamien society like no other before him.

Kamien is the leading society when it comes to technological advancement. We need knowledge to nourish and sustain our people and our way of life. We continually seek out opportunities to learn more about ourselves and the environment we live in.

It seems almost like a paradox, but innovation eventually leads to a state of ultimate stability. This stability is what we as a people aim for: the point in time where it is no longer necessary to adapt in order to survive.

We as a species are known as constant innovators: we evolved, adapted and conquered. Kamien goes the extra mile: where others see death as an inevitable demise, we see it simply as another hurdle to overcome.
